Annual Meeting

OWIG Honored with Fire & Focus Award

On Oct. 11, Ohio Women in Government was one of four organizations honored as bringing "Fire and Focus" to life at the Ninth Annual Fire & Focus luncheon.  Catherine Scheller accepted the award.  This annual event is sponsored by The Ohio State University's Office of Senior Vice President of Outreach & Engagement, Joyce Beatty.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Annual Meeting on August 26 and helped to make the event a resounding success!  As always, we thank the Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery and Julie Henahan, Executive Director of the Ohio Arts Council for hosting us.

We were honored to have Speaker Jo Ann Davidson and Sr. Vice President Joyce Beatty share their leadership experiences and knowledge with us. 

We would also like to thank Dawn Tyler Lee, Asst. VP of Outreach & Engagement at The Ohio State University and Representative Cheryl Grossman for their warm introductions of our keynote speakers.

It was great to not only see some familiar OWIG faces at Monday's caucus lunch during the Momentum 2010 Women's Conference, but also many new ones!  Please check out the Other Events page for information that was given about using the internet for professional networking.
