Be Your Own Advocate: How to Empower Yourself to Self-Advocate in the Workplace

  • Columbus Main Library, Auditorium 96 South Grant Avenue Columbus, OH, 43215 United States (map)

Join Ohio Women in Government on Thursday, April 25th from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM for an informative lunch seminar on self-advocacy in the workplace. Are you looking for ways to be heard in discussions and decision-making, ask for a raise, handle your annual review like a pro, or ask someone to be your mentor? We have a fantastic panel of professionals that can help! Asserting yourself in the workplace can be hard but with the right tools, you can be your own advocate.

Moderated by Brandi Braun Al-Issa, now Incoming CEO of Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio, this panel will feature Sharon DeLay, Owner & President of GO-HR, and Jennifer Robinson, Chief Human Resources Officer at the Ohio Department of Veterans Services, who will share key strategies and insights with attendees on how to handle real-life situations. This is one you won’t want to miss!
