The Connect Program helps OWIG members forge meaningful one-on-one connections throughout the year. This event offers a unique opportunity for potential connections to meet and learn more about one another before the program officially begins. The OWIG Scholarship Program for Government Interns offers stipends to female college students with financial need who have secured unpaid internships in or around Ohio government. The program is intended to cover the costs associated with an internship, making the opportunity accessible for students who might otherwise be unable to afford an unpaid position.

OWIG is excited to offer a Breathwork and Meditation Seminar for OWIG members! This members-only event continues OWIG's tradition of offering a special, free event for members each year in appreciation of your commitment to our network of women across all levels of Ohio government.

Ready to overcome financial document anxiety and take control of your money mindset? In this power-packed session, Sheila Fox and Mary C. Slane will help you understand business budgets, interpret key financial indicators that impact organizational decisions, and gain the confidence to discuss financial matters in board and business meetings.

Nancy Rogers, OSU Professor Emeritus and Director of the Law and Leadership Program at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, will be moderating a thoughtful discussion featuring Meredith Freedhoff, Chairwoman of the Franklin County Republican Party, and Kimberly Agyekum, President of Ohio Young Democrats.

Join us as we bring together a diverse group of women who will share their personal journeys to political office. Our panelists will share how they overcome barriers, navigate systemic challenges, and find their voices as women of color in politics. Attendees will come away with a recognition of the importance of representation and the impact of these leaders’ work in their communities. Networking is from 5:00 - 5:30 PM with the panel beginning at 5:30 PM. Light refreshments will be provided.

Ohio Women In Government is excited to host our second networking event in Ross County on November 12!
