Title: Advancement Manager

Description: General Duties:
The Advancement Manager supports Groundwork Ohio’s statewide mission by helping grow and steward the philanthropic resources that make our work possible. Reporting to the President & CEO, this position serves as a key operational hub for the organization’s fundraising efforts, with a primary focus on individual and institutional giving, donor cultivation and stewardship, grant management, advancement operations, and fundraising strategy.

  • Initiative, curiosity, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments

  • Ability to successfully navigate a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, mission-driven environment

  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, public affairs, business, marketing, or a related field

  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit fundraising, advancement, development operations, or philanthropy

  • Demonstrated experience with individual donor cultivation and stewardship

  • Experience supporting foundation grant development and reporting

  • Strong CRM/database management experience; EveryAction preferred

  • Experience preparing fundraising reports, dashboards, and analytics

  • Experience working with executive leadership and nonprofit boards preferred

  • Knowledge of Ohio’s philanthropic community preferred
